Materials and Craftsmanship
Forged from 1095 high carbon steel, this katana undergoes the traditional clay tempering process—a technique perfected over generations. Seasoned sword-smiths apply clay in varying thicknesses along the blade before heating and quenching it in water, creating the distinctive hamon (temper line) that marks authentic Japanese swords. The full tang construction extends through the entire handle, providing structural integrity and balance that practitioners depend on. Each blade receives careful hand polishing and edge work, following ancient methods that produce a refined finish.
